Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Pluto. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users found to be under 18.

Pluto uses Google Sign-In for authentication. By signing in, you authorize us to receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create your account.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at shubh065@gmail.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms.

You agree to use Pluto only for its intended purpose — personal and household financial tracking. You must not:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to store or transmit malicious code
• Impersonate another person or household member
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service

Pluto offers an optional Gmail integration that reads your email in the background to extract transaction data from receipts. By enabling this feature, you grant us permission to:

• Access your Gmail account using a refresh token stored on our servers
• Read emails to identify and extract transaction receipts
• Store only the extracted merchant name, amount, and date

You can revoke this permission at any time from the App settings. Doing so immediately stops all email access and deletes your stored credentials.

Our use of Gmail data complies with Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Pluto is a personal finance tracking tool only. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. We make no representations about the accuracy or completeness of any financial data you enter or that is extracted from emails.

You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Always consult a qualified professional for financial advice.

You retain ownership of all financial data you enter into Pluto. By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that data solely to provide the service to you.

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

All content, design, and code within the Pluto App and Site — including but not limited to logos, text, and user interface elements — is owned by Vedika Pandey and protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of Pluto without our express written permission.

Pluto is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Any data extracted from Gmail will be accurate or complete
• The App will meet your specific requirements

We are a small, independent project. We will do our best to keep the service running, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime or data integrity.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vedika Pandey shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — Pluto. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, financial loss, or loss of goodwill.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (which, given Pluto is free, is nil).

You may stop using Pluto at any time. To delete your account and data, contact us at shubh065@gmail.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Pluto at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the service.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Pluto shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Pluto after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via the App or by email.
